Summer Vacations

Now that the kids are in school and Luke is napping in the afternoons, I'm finding sometime to get caught up on pictures from the summer.  We were lucky enough to get two vacations this summer.  Drew only gets the month of July off so that was our month of travel!

Our first trip was to Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells with Grammy & Papa and Todd & Julie and the kids.  It was really fun for my kids to get a few days of fun in with their cousins.  Like our last trip to the Dells, our first stop on the way up was Buffalo Phils.  You are never too old to enjoy a remote control train...especially when it blows bubbles at you. 

After that it was two days of non-stop water park!!  Ben tackled every slide like a champ.  Just like last year!  It took Kate until the second day before she realized that water slides really are fun (She can't let little Lauren show her up!  I think that was her motivation.)  After that, she wasn't ready to go home.  And if we didn't have the pictures to prove it, I'd never believe she did some of the slides she did!  If Luke were just a tad bit taller, his slide options would have been bigger.  He had a good time in his little area though.

 

 

 

And of course, nothing is more fun than a hotel room party with your cousins!!  Good memories made.

 

Our second vacation was a road trip to Florida to see Uncle Matt.  Our last trip to see him didn't turn out so well, but this one more than made up for all our bad luck last time.  The kids were awesome travelers!  This year we stayed in Daytona Beach Shores in a condo right on the beach.  We had an amazing view from our balcony.

 

The weather was absolutely perfect the whole week!  If I had to come up with a complaint, maybe the weather was too perfect.  It was bright and sunny most of the time we were there (and it was hot!!).   We went back and forth from pool to beach all day, every day.  Not a bad way to spend a week if you ask me!  And get ready, I have plenty of pictures to prove my point!
