I know the Fourth was a couple of weeks ago, but we've been busy around here! We celebrated the 4th of July low-key at our neighbor's house. Well, as low-key as it gets with 16 kids running around! Burgers and dogs, then waiting around for dark to come. As it happens, our neighborhood is the firework-work hotspot in town. The city lights the fireworks right behind our subdivision. Because of this, everyone in our neighborhood hosts parties for their friends. Our street was lined with cars, and all the yards were full of people. Seemed like a little neighborhood festival or something.
Before we left I tried to get a picture of my three...not an easy task.
Ben decided that the 4th is a celebration worth dressing up for and he was going to wear a tie. Then he picked out a tie for Drew to wear. What a good Dad, Drew went along with it.
The kids enjoyed sparklers and snap-pops until the fireworks started. Once they did, we had a great spot right in the backyard!
