We just got back from a Goebel Weekend in St. Louis. We kicked the weekend off with the St. Louis Zoo. What could be better than all the Goebel kiddos together, a free zoo, and absolutely perfect weather?!
After a full day of animal watching we headed to The Hill for dinner. We made reservations for 10, 6 of the 10 being children age 6 & under. The restaurant said they could accommodate us! When we got there we found our table in the basement...and we were the only ones down there! It was the perfect place for us (eventually others were seated down there too). Things turned out even better when all the kids sat at one end of the table surrounding Uncle Todd. Drew, Julie and I had a peaceful dinner.
Then after dinner we did a little swimming in the hotel pool.
The next morning Kate and Ben attended their first rock concert. The Goebel boys are big fans of Ralph's World (maybe you've seen him doing the Potty Dance on a diaper commercial?). We didn't know who he was before today but his concert was lots of fun. Even though Kate was still a little tired from a busy day the day before, she couldn't help but break out some of her signature dance moves.
Unfortunately it is back to school tomorrow. Our trip to St. Louis was a great way to end our spring break. Thanks Todd and Julie (Nathan, Scott, Connor, and Lauren too) for inviting us!
