Vacation at Grammy's

Our week without Drew went by faster than I thought it would. Grammy kept us entertained and spoiled for most of the week. We started off by meeting the Goebel boys at the zoo. The weather was a little iffy but the rain held off! It was fun to see all the cousins playing together.

The zoo seemed to have a lot of birds. This peacock was walking around with his feathers spread. We weren't too sure what to think about him.

Kate really likes turtles. She has one she sleeps with every night, so it was neat to see the real thing.

Before we left the zoo Grammy treated us all a carousel ride. Kate looked over all her choices very carefully before finally settling on the zebra.

We spent 3 days with Grammy and she spoiled us rotten...cookies, pizza, cheetos and ice cream whenever we wanted...how could we not have a good time? We spent one afternoon at the pool. That was fun for Kate. She hit up the froggy slide...over, and over, and over. Kate would slide, we could clap, she would say "again". Repeat that about 100 times and it pretty much sums up our afternoon at the pool.

We also did a little fishing. No luck, but it was fun to try. Before heading out to the lake, Kate first practiced in Grammy & Papa's pond (she didn't catch any goldfish though.)

Daddy had much better luck on his fishing trip than we did on ours. This is a picture from his "fishing vacation".

By the time we got home from Grammy's we only had a couple more days til Dad got home! They went by quickly with gymnastics and visits to the playground and we are so glad to have him back home!
