November

As far as health goes, November wasn't very kind to us.  The stomach flu slowly made its way through the house.  It really hit my poor babies hard!  We still managed to fit in some fun activities during the down time in between victims.

We started November off in St. Louis.  We planned a girls night out to see Beauty and the Beast at the Fox Theatre with Aunt Julie and Lauren.  The boys went along for a hotel party of pizza and swimming.  Poor Luke wasn't able to make it, he was still recovering from his tonsils and adenoid surgery.  He stayed back with Mono and Papa.
Beauty and the Beast was great!  Kate soaked in every minute of it.  Her eyes were glued to the stage.  Before the show started it was fun to share the beauty of the Fox Theater with her.  She said it was the "fanciest place" she'd ever been.  She amazes me at the details she notices.

The next morning we decided to do a little St. Louis exploring.  It was a gorgeous Fall day, and we'd been wanting to take the kids to the top of the Arch.  All the other times we'd thought about it, the weather wasn't right.  Today was perfect!  Kate was a little hesitant of the elevator ride up, but everyone thought it was worth it once we got to the top.

We were excited to get back home and see Luke, but a trip to St. Louis wouldn't be complete without going to the zoo.  It was a quick stop, but both Kate & Ben were able to see their favorites.

Kate started volleyball at the Y.  She really loves it, and I love watching her learn just the same!

I had all 3 kids home and a lot of down time this month, much more than normal.  It was kind of like summer break, only we couldn't go outside to play and no one was feeling very well.  Trying to keep them entertained was a task!  Seems they weren't quite well enough to go back to school, but certainly well enough to pick on each other!  We decided to make salt dough Christmas ornaments one afternoon.

Kate's been having lots of tea parties lately.

We decorated the house for Christmas kind of in shifts, as everyone felt well enough to participate.  I just love the first night I bring all the boxes up and let kids look through things. I'm excited to have all the illness (pretty much) behind us and can't wait for the magic of Christmas with my three babies.
