Quiet

My blog has been quiet the month of January, and so have we. This month hasn't been very exciting, but we are all healthy and I kinda like just sticking around home.  I actually don't even know what to post about!

At the beginning of the month we met my Eureka girls, Betsy & Cara, and their kiddos at the children's museum.  We spent the entire day there! It felt good to reconnect with old friends. 

 

 

Kate went to the birthday party of her friend Caroline and she's been planning and scheming her next birthday ever since.  After all, it is about birthday season in the Goebel house!

 

Other than that, it has been our quiet same old, same old routine.  Drew has had some particularly busy weeks this month.  I'd say January is the worst for him as far as supervision goes with 3 sports all overlapping, on top of regular meetings and such.  Here are a few snapshots from our January.  Sadly, I didn't even get my camera out much, so a few of them are from my phone.  

Even though it is bitterly cold out right now, it wasn't very long ago when we were playing outside.

Kate wanted to try braiding her hair wet and wearing it to school "curly".  She was so impressed with her new style! She wondered if the kids in her class would recognize her!

 

   

Here we are playing with the snowflake glasses Uncle Matt sent us for being the first to wish him a Happy Thanksgiving from Illinois (winners 2 years in a row!!).  These are seriously cool glasses; they make all the lights you see into the shape of snowflakes.  

Benny the Builder!  Just like his Papa, he's always got a project going.  This one is an airplane.
