Kate had her 3 year old check-up this past week. What we already knew was confirmed; Kate is tall! She is 38 3/4 inches (95%tile) and 34 lbs (75% tile). She grew 3 3/4 inches and gained 3 lbs. in the last year. Must be all that cheese she eats! The doctor had several developmental tasks for Kate to complete. About halfway through the list of things she had to do (like throw a ball, put this paper on the floor, jump over it, now put the paper on the chair) Kate asks the doctor, "Why am I doing this anyways?".
After her appointment we met Caroline and Anne at the children's museum. Once Kate finished her all out, laying on the floor, crying, making a scene, fit because she couldn't take her shirt off and swim in the water table, we had a nice afternoon.
The girls' favorite part of the museum was the wall of vacuum tubes that sucked handkerchiefs through a maze of pipes. They laughed and screamed and giggled every time the vacuum sucked the handkerchief out of their hand and then again when it spit it back out. It was fun watching them and listening to them squeal.
