Christmas 2008

Christmas came and went like a blur. We drove all over the place, from one end of the state to the other and got to see everyone we wanted to see. Well almost, we had to cut out our last Christmas stop because Kate got hit with the flu bug, in the car, on the foggiest day ever. But - one stinky car, one very rude gas station attendant, and 48 hours later - Kate was back on her feet and ready to play with her presents. All in all, we had a lovely holiday. Here are a few pictures...

Kate got a kitchen set from Mommy and Daddy. She loves it! We love to watch her "cooking". She even cooks and talks on the phone at the same time, just like her Mommy! Now all we hear is "C'mere, play" as she drags us to her kitchen (she even tries to get the dog to play).





She even got to do some real cooking - baking cookies with Grandma.


Christmas morning at Grammy & Papa's was just like it should be...lots of little ones with lots of excitement, ohhhh's and ahhhh's. Great-Grandmother was even there to share the morning with us!



Then we were off to Watseka for another huge Christmas dinner. This time Kate got a table and chairs to go with her kitchen. Now she is all set!

After almost three weeks off, it was sure hard to go back to work. But, we were thankful for Drew's new job this year...it is the first break he has gotten to take off with us. It was nice for all three of us to have time together to relax and play.
